@Good Moments Weddings
We’ll meet
For an obligation free consult, after work on a zoom video chat (maybe have a wine or 2), or for a coffee in person on the weekend. We’ll discuss all the legal processes and bounce ideas around about bringing your dream wedding visions to life.
We’ll create
A celebrant doesn’t just turn up at your wedding, so book one you enjoy the company of. There is a huge amount of preparation, texts and chats in the leadup to your big day. We will work together on a customised ceremony; I’ll provide inspiration and ideas creating a very unique ceremony and together I will help you work through the legalities.
We’ll wed
Well not me personally – you and your fiancé. When the big day comes, I will have you at ease, directing your wedding guests where to sit. The ceremony you envisioned, that’s what I’ll be there to deliver.
FAQ
Frequently Asked
What area do you service?
I am based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne (Mooroolbark/Lilydale way). Predominately, I service Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges Weddings, however will travel upon request.
What will you wear on the day?
I will tie in my outfit to suit your styling. I will check your colour scheme in advance to ensure I blend in nicely. I will ask if you prefer a corporate look, a smart casual look, or elegant. I can wear heels, flats or my Ariat boots depending on the style of wedding you are seeking.
What's the difference between a civil celebrant and a Minister?
The legal paperwork is the exact same. Our training is different. Traditionally, weddings with a Minister are about the wedding and structured a particular way, quite formal. Weddings with a civil celebrant, like myself, will be all about you as a couple, much more relaxed and customisable.
80% of marriages in Australia are now performed by a civil celebrant* (Australian Bureau of Statistics 2020)
What ID do I need to sight?
If you were born in Australia, I will need to physically sight the ID you use on your notice of intended marriage. This could be an original birth certificate or passport. I will also need to sight a driver’s licence or key pass to check your place of residence. If born outside of Australia, an overseas passport will be required. This is to prove your date and place of birth, as well as another photo identification.
Do you support same sex marriage?
Absolutely, I can’t believe this is even a question I still am asked in this day and age.
I have been privileged to run many same sex marriages over the years. I was always sad when I hosted their wedding which was referred to as a “commitment ceremony”. Thank you Australia for amending the act in 2017. For me, I marry loved up couples that have a genuine connection and love for each other. If that’s you, please get in touch.
Are you vaccinated?
Absolutely, now lets get back to Weddings!
